There has been a lot of discussion about a government scheme for the last few days, the Prime Minister himself Narendra Modi They tweet about it and now it is being mentioned in election rallies too. Recently, during a rally, the PM said that now preparations are being made to provide free electricity through this scheme. Here we are talking about PM Surya Ghar Free Electricity Scheme. Now the question in people’s mind is whether their electricity bill will really become zero after installing solar panels? Also, many people have this question that how will they get free electricity… Today we are giving you the answers to all these questions.
What is Surya Ghar Yojana?
Actually, a few months ago PM Modi had announced this scheme, it is a solar panel scheme. It was told by the government that under this scheme, rooftop solar panels will be installed on a total of one crore houses, after a few days the information came out that 300 units of electricity will be given free to these families every month. However, it is not clear whether this electricity will be forgiven along with the electricity produced or the government is giving this number of units free separately.
Will the bill really become zero?
Now let’s talk about how your bill will become zero. In fact, if 300 units of electricity is given free by the government, then your bill can be zero or completely less. At the same time, solar panels can produce 100 to 150 units of electricity every month, in such a situation you can get about 400 units of free electricity.
Now, if the government’s 300 units of free electricity means the electricity produced from solar panels, then it will be a bit difficult for your bill to become zero, because to generate 300 units of electricity, you will have to install more kilowatt solar panels. If you install a 1 kilowatt panel, then about 150 units of electricity will be produced, in which case the bill for the remaining 150 units will have to be paid.
Solar panels will not be available for free
It is important to clarify here that solar panels are not being installed for free by the government, the government is giving subsidy for solar panels, this subsidy is being given from Rs 18 thousand to Rs 78 thousand. That means, you will be given subsidy according to the number of kilowatts of solar panels you install.
